Hagefest (2023)

Available on May 9th, 2023. The Garden Party Moomin mug is the summer season mug for the year 2023. In addition to the mug, the set includes a plate. This year, the Moomins celebrate a warm summer day with their friends, a rhinoceros and a tiger who have escaped from the zoo. The Garden Party mug concludes a series of six summer mugs featuring the Moomins enjoying summer activities. The first part of the series, Going on Vacation, was released in 2018. The main illustration on the mug is taken from a comic strip called Jungle Life, which was published in English in 1956. Its color scheme is partially similar to the previous green-toned mugs in the series, Going on Vacation and Relaxing. The mug was illustrated by Tove Slotte, who retired in 2022.
