This is the special edition of the 2023 Moomin Day mug, "Sea Breeze Platinum," which will be available only through a lottery. The Sea Breeze Platinum mug is a numbered special edition of the Sea Breeze mug, distinguished by its platinum details and a different gift box. For previously released Moomin mugs, only the Fazer (400 pieces) and Moomintroll Daydreaming (2005 pieces) mugs have had their exact production numbers announced. It is anticipated that the Sea Breeze Platinum mug will become a new sought-after treasure for many Moomin collectors. --- In 2023, the Sea Breeze mug takes us to the archipelago to celebrate Moomin Day and Arabia's 150th anniversary. To mark this double celebration, two mugs will be available: the rare Sea Breeze Platinum and the Sea Breeze Moomin Day mug. The mug's archipelago-themed illustration is based on Tove Jansson's novel "Moominpappa and the Sea." Among the familiar characters from Moominvalley, you'll find Moomintroll, Little My, Moominmamma, and Moominpappa. The illustration for this mug was composed by recently retired designer Tove Slotte. Sea Breeze is her 100th Moomin mug illustration. The foundation of the Sea Breeze mug's illustration is made from old letter papers that Tove Jansson used when responding to fans.
