Moominvalley Park Japan (2023–)

The new Moominvalley Park Japan mug will be released on February 10th, 2023 and will be sold at the Moominvalley Park theme park located in Hanno, Japan. The mugs will initially be sold only at the theme park and later at the Japanese Moomin Shop, however, the mugs will only be shipped within Japan. The updated Moominvalley Park Japan mug design is similar to the previous Moominvalley Park Japan mug, which was available from 2019 to 2022. The bottom part of the mug design has remained the same, with only color changes, while the top part has changed into a nighttime theme park landscape. The design is inspired by Tove Jansson's book "The Invisible Child and Other Stories" from 1962. The design of the new Japanese mug was selected from the story "Hemuli, who loved silence". In the story, Hemuli works as a ticket inspector at an amusement park, but a heavy rainstorm destroys the entire park. Hemuli then moves alone to his grandmother's old garden, after which the children collect the scattered parts of the amusement park and rebuild it.
