This special edition mug was designed especially for the Norwegian market, but it was accessible for everyone through the official Moomin online stores after August 16th, 2021. The mug was to be sold through the year 2021, or as long as it was still in stock. The landscapes on the mug were inspired by the Norwegian nature: The mountains and fjords, which is quite fitting, as the scenery in the Moominvalley is very diverse as well. In the images we can see Moomintroll turning to his best friend Snufkin for some good advice and consolation in a difficult situation. On the other side of the mug Moominmamma is bathing and spending time on her own, relaxing. The original images are from Tove and Lars Jansson’s comic strip #16 Conscientious Moomin and Tove Jansson’s #8 Moomin Begins a New life. The mug has the same bottom stamp as the other seasonal products, and the year 2021 on it. For each mug sold, Fiskars is donating 10 Norwegian kroner to the local Save the Children association in Norway.

Hvem designer illustrasjonene for Mummikrusene?
Tove Slotte, født i 1957, er en finsk kunstner og grafisk designer. Hun er en profesjonell keramiker. Tove Slotte jobbet ved Arabia fra 1985 til 1990, etter dette har hun jobbet som frilansdesigner. Hun er best kjent for å designe og illustrere Mummi-produkter for Iittala og Arabia keramikk. Tove Slotte har vært en Mummi-fan siden barndommen. Hun sier at hennes favoritt Mummi-bok er Boken om Mummi, Mymlen og Lille My. Tove Slotte har designet Mummi-produktene for Arabia i mer enn 30 år.
