Available from March 5, 2024 Sniff will receive his third character mug in the spring of 2024, this time in blue. At the same time, the previous turquoise Sniff will be discontinued. The mug will become part of the ongoing production and the Arabia Moomin classic mugs series. In the illustration of this mug, Sniff is offering an elixir to a turtle, which however turns into a bullet train. On the other side of the mug, Sniff is calmly watching the sea at sunset, dreaming of money and fame. He is accompanied by a small character named Sam. The "Sniff on the Beach" tableware series includes a mug, a bowl, and a plate. The illustrations are based on the Moomin comic strip by Tove Jansson from 1954. The illustrations for the tableware series were made by Tove Slotte, who retired in 2022.

Who designs the illustrations for the Moomin mugs?
Tove Slotte, born in 1957, is a Finnish artist and a graphic designer. She is a professional ceramist. Tove Slotte worked at Arabia from 1985 to 1990, after which she has worked as a freelance designer. She is best known for designing and illustrating the Moomin products for Iittala and Arabia ceramics. Tove Slotte has been a Moomin fan since her childhood. She says her favourite Moomin book is The Book about Moomin, Mymble and Little My. Tove Slotte has designed the Moomin products for Arabia for more than 30 years.
