The 2022 winter seasonal mug 'Winter Wonders' became available on October 7, 2022 and was on sale for a limited time. The pastel-colored Moomin mug is the 17th winter season mug. A bowl from the same series will be released at the same time as the mug. Original illustrations are from Tove Jansson's comic strip 'Moomin’s Winter Follies' from 1955. Adventurers in the comic strip are e.g. Mr Brisk, Snorkmaiden, Mymble, Moominpappa and Moominmamma, who have also ended up as characters on the mug. Mr Brisk appeared previous time in the 2014 winter seasonal mug.

Who designs the illustrations for the Moomin mugs?
Tove Slotte, born in 1957, is a Finnish artist and a graphic designer. She is a professional ceramist. Tove Slotte worked at Arabia from 1985 to 1990, after which she has worked as a freelance designer. She is best known for designing and illustrating the Moomin products for Iittala and Arabia ceramics. Tove Slotte has been a Moomin fan since her childhood. She says her favourite Moomin book is The Book about Moomin, Mymble and Little My. Tove Slotte has designed the Moomin products for Arabia for more than 30 years.
