The Moomin pitcher Family was manufactured from 2005 to 2007. Instead of one character, Tove Slotte designed the pitcher with multiple Moomin characters. The most noticeable difference between the mug and the original images is the garland, removed from Moomimamma’s image by Tove Slotte. The original artwork is found in Tove and Lars Jansson’s comic #17 Moomin and the Comet, Tove Jansson’s novel Moominland Midwinter and comic #8 Moomin Begins a New Life, as well as Lars Jansson’s comic #70 Moominpappa and Old Age. In addition to the pitcher, the other items in the series are the mug and bowl with same kind of artwork.
